Climbing inductions are available for those wanting to learn how to climb safely alone or with others. Run by qualified instructors, this session takes you through everything you need to know, including how to fit a harness correctly, belaying and demonstrating safe practices on the wall.
The induction and assessment are free for our active fitness members or see our pay as you go prices for non-members. A parent or guardian must remain on site if the climber is under eighteen.
Once the induction has been completed you will then need to attend a climbing assessment (no additional charge) to ensure the instructor is happy with your competency.
After you have completed the induction and assessment you will be able to visit the centre for climbing as and when you like, where you will be able to bring in up to two guests who you will be responsible for, this could be to climb with friends or to bring children to have a go. The guests will only be able to climb, but belay (normal charges apply).
- Induction assessment Wednesday 6pm to 7pm
- Induction course Wednesday 7pm to 9pm
Suitable for all abilities and levels to help you develop your climbing skills. From needing a belay partner to pushing grades or developing technique, this instructor staffed session will offer all the support and guidance you require.
